This summer, we're thrilled to announce our exciting two-week production workshop is Disney's Moana Jr - a musical extravaganza based on the beloved animated film!
Calling all young performers aged 8-17 to join us for an unforgettable adventure as we bring the wonderful tale of Moana to life on Theatre Severn stage.
With all of the characters from the fabulous film and songs including; You’re Welcome, How Far I’ll Go and Shiny - this dynamic musical offers something fabulous for all of those involved in the workshop. Moana JR. celebrates the rich history of Oceania and will provide our students with a fantastic opportunity to learn and discover all about the cultures of the Pacific Islands.
With daily sessions at our Wigle Studio in the Quarry from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, our talented team will guide participants through rehearsals, workshops, and the excitement of bringing a full-scale production to life.
Auditions will determine casting, ensuring every participant has a chance to shine and be a vital part of our show. Plus, with costumes provided, all students need to bring is your passion for performance and a can-do attitude!
Join us on this thrilling theatrical journey, culminating in performances on Thursday the 31st July and Friday 1st August 2025 at Theatre Severn. Mark your calendars, spread the word as we prepare to say ‘you’re welcome’ to audiences old and young! You won't want to miss it!

WORKSHOP DETAILS
Workshop Dates
This workshop will run on 21st July - 1st of August 2025 from 9.00am - 4.00pm. (Earlier drop off or later pick up can also be arranged at an additional charge - please email info@wigles.co.uk for more info.) Our doors will not open until 8.50am each day.

The performance times will be confirmed over next few weeks. On Friday August 1st, students will be with us until after their performance which will finish at roughly 7.15pm.
Who can join?
This workshop is recommended for children ages 8 - 17.
Our summer workshops are open to both wigle members and non-members.
Children do not require previous dancing, singing or acting training. No auditions are required – just a willingness to give it a go!

Role will be allocated following informal auditions on day one of the workshop where roles will be allocated.
What is the workshop cost?
Our workshops are priced to be as affordable as possible - working out approx £3.50 an hour!
​
This price includes five days tuition (each at 7 hours) with our talented staff team (all of whom are first aid trained and hold complete DBS checks), scripts, costumes and the fabulous two days at Theatre Severn with the performances on Thursday and Friday. There is never a dull moment in our summer workshops with lots of fun activities to break up the day.

The total workshop cost is:
£250.00 for Get Your Wigle On members
or
£280.00 for non Get Your Wigle On members
Location
This workshop will run from our Quarry Studio (located on St Austin Friars, Shrewsbury).
What does my child need to bring
Children are asked to bring a packed lunch and water bottle which can be filled up throughout the day. We recommend children wear comfortable clothing suitable for dance and drama activities.
How to book
A deposit is required to book a place on the workshop.
To sign up, simply book your place by paying a £50.00 deposit or the full workshop balance below. ​
The remaining balance is due 21 days before the workshop.
All deposits and fees are non-refundable unless spaces are re-advertised and filled.
